Nora was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in May. The surgeon at Newcastle upon Tyne Regional Medical Center recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and She is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $4,350 short.
my wife has been in and out of Newcastle upon Tyne Regional Medical Center since May. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Nora struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
