Mekelle
Wondimu was diagnosed with kidney cancer in June. The oncology team at Mekelle Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Wondimu is 37, worked as a bakery worker until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mekelle Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $350 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $150 • Scans and lab work: $115 • Transport to Mekelle Cancer Centre: $85 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
