Help me pay for cataract surgery at Niterói Regional Medical Center
After a deviated septum causing chronic infections, Leonardo was cleared for cataract surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In February I was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections. My surgeon at Niterói Regional Medical Center recommended cataract surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for May. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $2,750, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $1,650 short.
Doctors at Niterói Regional Medical Center told me a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without cataract surgery. I work as a seamstress, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $2,750 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a seamstress have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. I'll not be able to lift anything heavy during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
