I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a pharmacy diploma at Belém Community College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a library assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,150.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a first-class average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Belém Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $460
• Final term tuition: $550
• Exam and lab fees: $65
• Textbooks and materials: $75
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

thanks for sharing this, Lucas. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Blessings
wishing you the best, Lucas. I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best.
