I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a diploma in hospitality management at Hyderabad University, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $850.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Hyderabad University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $850 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $210
• Final term tuition: $530
• Exam and lab fees: $45
• Textbooks and materials: $65
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

take care. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't give up. Love from Taguig.
Rooting for you, Janani. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
Take care, Janani. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. Wish I lived closer to Cebu City so I could bring a meal. Love from Fresno.
Best of luck, Janani. This could happen to any of us. Sent it to 27 people at work.
