I make my living with my school-run minibus. 3 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,600. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $1,600 goes: • Towing and inspection: $80 • Labor charges: $210 • fuel pump replacement (parts): $1,310 Thank you for reading my story. - Young-ja

Updates from Young-ja

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($614 in total) I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 62% now ($984). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts.
