I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in civil engineering at the Bhaktapur Institute of Technology, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a delivery rider to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $700.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $700 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $370
• Exam and lab fees: $25
• Final term tuition: $305
Thanks for reading all this.

As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Please keep us posted. God bless.
Sending good thoughts. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Surabaya.
So sorry you're going through this, Subash. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope April is when things finally get easier.
