Help José keep the the Sunday Shelf pantry stocked
José runs a volunteer pantry feeding 121 families; this fund restocks shelves for the summer.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Sunday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 121 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 50% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Ciudad de México market and keep every receipt.
Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $950 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $510
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $290
• Baby formula and diapers: $110
• Refrigeration and electricity: $40
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
Updates from José

Thanks for sharing this, José. Hope you get there. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from São Paulo.
