Lilian was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in February. The surgeon at Ikeja Community Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,550, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,100 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Ikeja Community Hospital since February. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,550 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Lilian struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Lilian won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
