Help Kiran through 8 rounds of treatment for colon cancer

Kiran is facing colon cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Kiran was diagnosed with colon cancer in August. The oncology team at Madurai University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Kiran is 43, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Madurai University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $550 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $120 • Household costs while unable to work: $320 • Scans and lab work: $110 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Updates from Senthil

  1. Quick update: $12 raised so far (2%). I made the first payment toward household costs while unable to work. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. Update from Madurai: the first invoice got paid this week. We're at 7% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  3. Wanted to say thank you properly. 9% funded and I made the first payment toward scans and lab work.
