I'm caring for me, who's 78. After a stroke last August Ashok can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Ashok desperately wants to stay at home. I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Ashok worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $700 goes: • Medication and prescriptions: $60 • Part-time carer (four months): $550 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $90 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Ashok

Updates from Ashok

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($45 in total) the plan for mobility aids and bathroom adaptations is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. 45% there. the plan for part-time carer is now scheduled. Thank you.

  3. Thank you all. We're at 5% now ($35). I'm honestly stunned. we've started the first stage.
