A fresh start in Madrid: help the Shevchenko family resettle

My family left the Democratic Republic of Congo 7 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Madrid. We're a family of six and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in November. I was a teacher in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent). Where the $550 goes: • Winter clothing and school supplies: $230 • Language classes and bus passes: $210 • Phone and internet for school and job search: $110 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
