Kanya was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at Pattaya Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Kanya is 52, worked as a bakery worker until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Pattaya Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Kanya.
Chemotherapy and medication not covered is $1,200 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Let me know if you want more detail.

So sorry you're going through this, Duangjai. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected!
