Help Jerome restart a bicycle repair shop in Ottawa after floodwater
A bicycle repair shop in Ottawa needs help replacing a full set of tools after floodwater.
🇨🇦 Ottawa, Ontario, Canada1,354 views
For three years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Ottawa. In December, floodwater took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• Replacing a full set of tools: $1,800
• Initial stock: spare parts: $520
• Shop repairs and licensing: $600
• Working capital for the first month: $630
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Keep going. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Ottawa.
rooting for you, Jerome. Looking forward to the next update. God bless.
Sending strength, Jerome. Shared this with my family. After 26 years in retail I know how hard it is to ask for anything.
