A place to stay near Johannesburg Children's Hospital while Shanice receives treatment
Looking for a host or low-cost room within 30 minutes of Johannesburg Children's Hospital.
🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa1,564 views
My sister Shanice has been accepted for treatment at Johannesburg Children's Hospital in Johannesburg, starting on Tuesday in August. We live 464 km away in a village four hours away, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself.
We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 4 weeks. Two of us would stay: Shanice and me. We can contribute $35 a week and cook for the household if you'd like.
Shanice will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

You're not alone, Mbali. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. God bless!
Thinking of you, Mbali. I hope things turn around soon. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings.
your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Salé so I could bring a meal.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Kadıköy
Wishing Shanice a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Put this on a community board in Contagem this morning. Thinking of Johannesburg.
