Fikir is facing multiple myeloma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Fikir was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in January. The oncology team at Hawassa University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in March. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Fikir is 25, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Hawassa University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Scans and lab work: $165
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $115
