Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Friday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 126 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 40% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Tehuacán market and keep every receipt.
Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $800 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $85
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $340
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $375
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Wishing you peace. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Sent it to 32 people at work.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless
