A wage-theft claim deadline is approaching and Citlali can't afford the lawyer.

Citlali is facing a wage-theft claim. The hearing is scheduled for July, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $1,850. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Citlali has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at Alcalá de Henares Welcome Centre has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Citlali could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Attorney retainer: $1,150
• Filing and biometrics fees: $480
• Certified translations and document copies: $125
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $95

Sure. The biggest one is attorney retainer, $1,150. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.
