Back on our feet: Mubashir and a teenage son and a daughter in primary school in Lahore
Mubashir and a teenage son and a daughter in primary school need a bridge to stability after a sudden redundancy.
🇵🇰 Pakistan1,427 views
After a sudden redundancy in August, I'm now raising a teenage son and a daughter in primary school on my own. I work as a care worker, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a teaching assistant in the evenings, which will triple my income by November, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Every cent is accounted for. I'll share a simple monthly breakdown.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rent top-up: $240
• Childcare and after-school care: $105
• Groceries and school meals: $105
• Course fees and exam costs: $50
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Sending strength, Mubashir. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. God bless.
rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Lahore.
