Surgery fund for Maya: hip replacement surgery in San Jose
Maya needs hip replacement surgery at San Jose Regional Medical Center and the family is $750 short of the hospital's estimate.

Maya was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in August. The surgeon at San Jose Regional Medical Center recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,500, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $750 short.
my wife has been in and out of San Jose Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Maya struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Maya won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $750 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $290
• Post-operative medication: $155
• Travel and lodging for the family: $305
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
