Help Marcos patch the roof before winter

Could you spare one long weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Lafayette?

Lafayette
I'm a home-care aide living in Lafayette. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,000, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over one long weekend. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Wishing you peace, Marcos. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to 陌zmir so I could bring a meal

    • thanks for sharing this, Marcos. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Sent it to 21 people at work. Blessings.

      • A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Lafayette.

Sending strength, Marcos. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.

          • Wishing you peace. Shared this with my family. My husband and I read this together. God bless.
