Bonny
Babatunde was diagnosed with colon cancer in May. The oncology team at the Bonny Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Babatunde is 33, worked as a hairdresser until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Bonny Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,150 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $60 • Scans and lab work: $160 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $930 Every share and every dollar helps.

Updates from Favour

  1. Thank you all. We're at 17% now ($200). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward chemotherapy and medication not covered.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Babatunde

      • Favour Fatima LawalOwnerAnswerVerified organization

Sure. The biggest one is nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team, $60. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one.

    • Sending love. I hope things turn around soon. I hope August is when things finally get easier.

      • Sending strength. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.
