Asher was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in September. The oncology team at Bronx Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Asher is 56, worked as a bank teller until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bronx Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $10,500 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,500 • Transport to Bronx Regional Medical Center: $970 • Scans and lab work: $1,030 Glad we found this place. - Douglas
