Gustavo was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in August. The oncology team at Madrid Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Gustavo is 34, worked as a nurse until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Madrid Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,700 goes: • Transport to Madrid Regional Medical Center: $400 • Scans and lab work: $730 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $570 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
