Get Kavitha back on the road: my food truck repair fund
Kavitha drives for a living in New Delhi, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 6 weeks.
🇮🇳 New Delhi, Delhi, India802 views
I make my living with my food truck. 6 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $200 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $145
• Labor charges: $20
• Towing and inspection: $35
With deep gratitude,
Kavitha
