Get Filippo back on the road: my food truck repair fund

Without my food truck Filippo can't work; a $1,450 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my food truck. 8 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,450. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $1,450 goes: • Road tax and insurance renewal: $230 • rear axle replacement (parts): $960 • Labor charges: $260 Every share and every dollar helps.

what's already covered and what's the $1,450 for?

    • Filippo DamicoOwnerAnswerID verified

Sure. The biggest one is road tax and insurance renewal, $230. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.
