Get Ella back on the road: my ride-share car repair fund
Without my ride-share car Ella can't work; a $700 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my ride-share car. 4 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $700. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $700 goes:
• Towing and inspection: $100
• Labor charges: $280
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $320
With deep gratitude,
Ella

Best of luck. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Ella.
Sure. The biggest one is towing and inspection, $100. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. I'll keep the page updated.
Good luck, Ella. I hope things turn around soon.
You're not alone, Ella. Shared it with a few friends. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Bonny
thanks for sharing this, Ella. Hope you make a strong comeback. Greetings from Kinondoni.
Stay strong. Hope the shop reopens soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
Stay strong, Ella. Small businesses are the heart of Corpus Christi. Hope you're open again soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
