Plant 3,900 native trees around the Maple hillside in Depok
A neighborhood-led restoration of the Maple hillside needs $200 for saplings and equipment.
🇮🇩 Depok, West Java, Indonesia328 views
The Maple hillside has been used as an informal dump for years. This May, 45 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 184 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $200 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $70
• Tools and protective gear: $60
• Waste removal and skip hire: $60
• Signage and educational materials: $10
Thank you so much.

Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Bangkok this morning. God bless.
good luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Swansea but we're thinking of you. Love from Swansea.
