Akari, my grandmother, passed away on 3 August after a road accident. She was 22 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,150 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 18 August. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Akari to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $3,150 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $2,000 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $480 • Transport of the deceased: $270 • Memorial gathering for the family: $400 Please ask me anything in the questions section.
