I coordinate donations at the Harmony Mosque in Sacramento. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Sacramento, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Harmony Mosque on Friday between 11am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Harmony Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Wishing you the best, Claire. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Sent it to 14 people at work. All the best!
Wishing you the best. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Blessings
