Folake's early-stage lung cancer treatment fund
Folake is facing early-stage lung cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Folake was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in July. The oncology team at Gwagwalada Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Folake is 33, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Gwagwalada Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $660
• Scans and lab work: $130
• Transport to Gwagwalada Cancer Centre: $130
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $135
• Household costs while unable to work: $145
