Georgia is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Athens University, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,800. The registrar has said Georgia can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Georgia has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Georgia would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Georgia isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $1,800 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $980 • Final term tuition: $640 • Exam and lab fees: $95 • Textbooks and materials: $85 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Stelios

Updates from Stelios

  1. Small update. $775 so far, the plan for final term tuition is now scheduled.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 42% now ($750). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the university and confirmed the amounts.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($293 in total) I made the first payment toward textbooks and materials. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
