Fighting early-stage lung cancer: help Sagar afford treatment in Kathmandu
Sagar is facing early-stage lung cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Sagar was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in August. The oncology team at the Kathmandu Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Sagar is 27, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Kathmandu Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $950 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $660
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $80
• Transport to the Kathmandu Oncology Institute: $85
• Household costs while unable to work: $125
