Fighting cervical cancer: help Emilia afford treatment in Timișoara
4 rounds of treatment are planned at Timișoara University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇷🇴 Timișoara, Timiș, Romania204 views
Emilia was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August. The oncology team at Timișoara University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Emilia is 41, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Timișoara University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $4,450 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,950
• Scans and lab work: $530
• Transport to Timișoara University Hospital: $190
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $155
• Household costs while unable to work: $625
I hope life is good to you.
- Adriana

can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Timișoara
Thank you. If you're in Timișoara I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks, that means a lot.
Hang in there, Adriana. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Timișoara
sending good thoughts, Adriana. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I hope November is when things finally get easier. God bless
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Prayagraj donated after I showed her your page. All the best.
