Angela was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in May. The oncology team at Bristol Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Angela is 51, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bristol Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $9,500 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,250 • Scans and lab work: $1,300 • Transport to Bristol Regional Medical Center: $520 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $670 • Household costs while unable to work: $760 If you're reading this, thank you.

  • Take care, Everett. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I have a 14 year old who wants to send good wishes too. God bless

    • Best of luck. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Sent it to 6 people at work.

      • Take care. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Jakarta

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Nagpur donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Bristol

                • Hope things get better soon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Ikeja.
