Help keep a free food pantry open for families facing hunger in Alcalá de Henares.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Monday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 12 families, and now we feed 249 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 6 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Alcalá de Henares market and keep every receipt.
Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $300
• Baby formula and diapers: $260
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $790
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
