Lata, my grandmother, passed away on 22 September after a short illness. She was 82 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $4,800 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 8 October. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Lata to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Miami hospice. Where the $4,800 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $3,200 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,250 • Transport of the deceased: $350 With deep gratitude, Chhaya
