Ignacio, my brother, passed away on 17 September after a sudden heart attack. He was 56 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,650 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 6 October. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Ignacio to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $1,650 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $1,300 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $210 • Transport of the deceased: $60 • Memorial gathering for the family: $80 Thank you for reading my story.
