Gustavo, my grandfather, passed away on 3 June after a short illness. He was 39 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,200 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 13 June.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Gustavo to have a dignified farewell.

The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.

• Funeral home services and casket: $620
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $430
• Transport of the deceased: $100
