My brother Nathan has been accepted for treatment at the San Francisco Cancer Centre in San Francisco, starting on Sunday in January. We live 468 km away in a rural district, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 6 weeks. Two of us would stay: Nathan and me. We can contribute $120 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Nathan will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Thank you so much.

    • Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Birmingham but we're thinking of you. All the best.

      • Hope things get better soon, Joshua. This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
