Emon's final semester of a degree in civil engineering in New Delhi
Emon has worked and saved for four years to study a degree in civil engineering; a $550 gap now stands between him and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in civil engineering at New Delhi Community College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a tutor to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $550.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the New Delhi Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $550 goes:
• Final term tuition: $230
• Outstanding tuition balance: $310
• Exam and lab fees: $10
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Stay strong, Emon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Calamba.
