Don't let Mick's family go through winter without electricity

A disconnection notice for electricity arrived and Mick needs $550 before May.

The electricity account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on May unless I pay $550. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $65 first, which I don't have. I live with an elderly mother, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Mick's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates. Where the $550 goes: • Gas arrears: $350 • Reconnection and late fees: $90 • Down payment on a payment plan: $110 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Updates from Mick

  1. Update from Dublin: the plan for down payment on a payment plan is now scheduled. We're at 18% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Small update. $100 so far, I met with the utility company and confirmed the amounts.

  3. We're at 10% thanks to 2 of you. I made the first payment toward reconnection and late fees. More news soon.
