Emergency vet bill for Mango in Kansas City
Mango, Ping's three-legged dog, needs urgent treatment for severe tick fever costing $3,250.

Mango is my three-legged dog of three years. On 11 July we rushed to Kansas City Veterinary Centre with severe tick fever. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $3,250.
They have stabilized Mango, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Mango is more than a pet - Mango got me through my hardest year. I have already put $220 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Kansas City Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.

• Emergency surgery: $2,000
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $670
• Medication and follow-up visits: $350
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $230
