A youth football pitch for Acacia Primary School: help our neighbors in Lahore
A community-led a youth football pitch at Acacia Primary School that will serve 112 neighbors.
🇵🇰 Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan1,227 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 112 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $300
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $40
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Rukhsar.
Sure. The biggest one is materials, $300. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.
Hope you get there. Sent it to 9 people at work. God bless.
More neighborhoods should do this. I hope December is when things finally get easier.
