Emergency hernia repair for Lucie: covering what insurance won't

Lucie was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in March. The surgeon at Casablanca General Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,800, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,350 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Casablanca General Hospital since March. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,800 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Lucie struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Lucie won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
