Flood in Manchester: help the Orchard district rebuild
The flood damaged 25 homes in the Orchard district. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The flood hit the Orchard district on 3 March. My home was one of 25 damaged, and 6 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $4,400 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,050
• Clean water and purification supplies: $800
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,200
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,350
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Hang in there. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Fort Worth donated after I showed her your page.
