Don't let Yumi's family go through the rainy season without electricity and water
Yumi is behind on electricity and water bills after a reduction in hours and needs $500 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity and water account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless I pay $500. I have never been late before a reduction in hours.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $45 first, which I don't have.
I live with two young children, and going through the rainy season without electricity and water isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $500 goes:
• Gas arrears: $230
• Reconnection and late fees: $140
• Down payment on a payment plan: $130
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Yumi
Gas arrears is $230 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Happy to explain more.
Hope it all works out. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Sent it to 32 people at work.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Osaka.
shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care
