Acacia Park needs a sensory garden for children with autism - Hudson's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Liverpool are raising $1,800 for a sensory garden for children with autism at Acacia Park.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,800.
It will serve about 134 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Materials: $950
• Permits and inspections: $120
• Safety equipment and signage: $370
• Tools hire and delivery: $360
Glad we found this place.
