Don't let Gita's family go through winter without water
Gita is behind on water bills after September's medical emergency and needs $100 to avoid a shut-off.

The water account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless I pay $100. I have never been late before September's medical emergency.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which I don't have.
I live with a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through winter without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $100 goes:
• Gas arrears: $45
• Reconnection and late fees: $15
• Down payment on a payment plan: $40
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

thanks for sharing this, Gita. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
Sending strength. Your post was clear and honest. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Jakarta Barat.
Best of luck, Gita. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
