Tika was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in July. The surgeon at Surabaya Community Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,300, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $650 short.
my mother has been in and out of Surabaya Community Hospital since July. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,300 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Tika struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Tika won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
